Purpose
and aim of U.I.D.I.P
The aim of U.I.D.I.P. is the further
development of the job profile of professional engineers
in
various specialist engineering sectors on a national, European and
international level as
defined in the "International Labour
Organisation" classification.
To achieve this aim
U.I.D.I.P. carries out an evaluation and qualification system which
regulates the
activities of professional engineers on various
levels according to generally valid and recognised
evaluation and
qualification systems of national, European and international
engineering organisations.
The evaluation and qualification
system carried out by the U.I.D.I.P. Is structured at different
levels
defined
in a qualification ordinance for professional engineers wich lead to
the acquisition of the
European
professional engineering qualification of a
- Candidat
– Ingénieur
- Ingénieur technicien
- Ingénieur certifié
- Ingénieur Professionnel
Européen
which
is awarded by the
U.I.D.I.P., following a determination, qualification and/or
certification process.
In
addition, the U.I.D.I.P. carries out examination and certification
processes based on the international
norm
ISO/EN 17024 or other norms applied to determine highly qualified
staff for professional
engineers.
For this propose, the U.I.D.I.P. can establish its own certification
authority or utilise the
cooperation
of established institutions or systems.
Apart
from that, the U.I.D.I.P. carries out training, advanced training and
further education for
professional
engineers at various levels. This takes place either in cooperation
with recognised or
accredited
institutions but also through training centers, technical colleges,
academies or schools of
engineering
which are established and operated by the U.I.D.I.P. .
To
achieve its aim, the U.I.D.I.P. my establish and/or participate,
inter alia, in the activities of
professional
or accreditation committees at national, European and international
level for the purpose of
further
developing the job profile of professional engineers.
